G. Alan’s Fine Jewelry has donated a 14-carat yellow gold and diamond ring to the Vietnam Veterans of America.

The ring is 2.8 grams with 22 round full cut diamonds with an approximate half-carat total weight. The retail value is $500.

“We’re honored to be able to help them with this donation,” said Greg Childress, owner of G. Alan’s

The veterans plan to auction off the ring to raise funds to help offset costs for Veterans Appreciation Night at First Data Field. The Vietnam Veterans of America will provide free tickets to every veteran or military personnel who request one to attend the baseball game.

“Thanks (Greg) for your help in promoting our Vietnam Veterans of America, Michael F Bradley Chapter 566, St. Lucie County fundraising events,” said Joseph Lusardi. “All donated funds go directly to our local veterans here in St. Lucie County.”

The organization aids local veterans with home repairs by supplying manual labor and finding vendors willing to supply materials/labor as needed. They have paid utility bills for veterans to prevent the power being turned off; and they have provided Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for needy veteran families. “We couldn’t do any of this without the support of our community.”
